Organise a Visit
Visiting King Edward VI is an essential part of the admission process and we look forward to showing our school.
There are a number of different options for visiting the school listed below. To arrange a visit of any kind, please email our Registrar, Mrs Sheppard, on email@example.com or phone +44 (0)23 8079 9216. Alternatively, you can fill out the Registration Form and we will contact you to organise a visit at a time that’s convenient for you.
We would be happy to show you around on a personal tour with one of our members of staff. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the school in action, observe teaching, and pupils in their classes, and ask questions specifically related to your own family’s priorities and concerns. A tour can be organised at any time throughout the year.
We host an annual Open Evening each October, which is a fun, interactive, busy event where children can try out experiments and go on a treasure hunt, and families can watch performances and hear from the Head.
Open Afternoons: 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Smaller Open Afternoons are held throughout the year, where numbers are limited and places must be booked in advance. This enables visitors to see the school in action on a normal working day, enjoy a tour of the school led by members of our teaching staff and some current pupils. There will also be an opportunity to speak to members of the Senior Leadership Team over tea. These events are hugely popular so please contact the registrar to reserve a place.
Taster Mornings: 10.00am – 1.00pm
We would be delighted to welcome you and your child to one of our Taster Mornings in the summer term. During the morning, children will attend a number of short taster lessons, whilst parents hear from the Head and have a tour of the school. Parents will then join children for lunch in our lovely dining room. Please contact the registrar to reserve a place.
