Organise a Visit
Visiting King Edward VI is an essential part of the admission process and we look forward to showing our school.
There are a number of different options for visiting the school.
We would be happy to show you around on a personal tour with one of our members of staff. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the school in action, observe teaching, and pupils in their classes, and ask questions specifically related to your own family’s priorities and concerns.
Alternatively you can attend one of our open events listed below. We host an annual Open Evening each October, which is a fun, interactive, busy event where children can try out experiments and go on a treasure hunt and families can watch performances, and hear from the Headmaster. Smaller Open Afternoons are held throughout the year, where numbers are strictly limited and places must be booked in advance. This enables visitors to see the school in action on a normal working day, enjoy a tour of the school and speak to members of the Senior Leadership Team.
To arrange a visit, please email our Registrar, Mrs Sheppard, on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone +44 (0)23 8079 9216.
Alternatively, you can fill out the ‘Registration Form’ via the left-hand menu and we will contact you to organise a visit at a time that’s convenient for you.
These are small events limited to around 15 families where you will be able to look around the school in small groups, led by members of our teaching staff and some of our current pupils. There will also be the opportunity to meet senior members of staff over tea. These events are hugely popular so please contact the registrar to reserve a place on your preferred date.
