PE & Sports Science

The department offers the students IGCSE and A level courses in Sports Science. The five teaching members of the department are all enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable in their subject.

The GCSE PE course allows students to increase their knowledge, understanding and performance in physical activities. The course aims to promote physical activity, develop positive attitudes and make students aware of safe practice.

The A Level in Sport and Physical Education is an interesting and fascinating course. The syllabus includes biomechanics, commercialism, disability, drugs, education, international sport, history of sport, leisure, elite performance, physiology, psychology, recreation, sociology and world games.

The courses consist of both theory and practical lessons; they are academically and practically challenging and will suit a wide range of students.
