Outstanding Results for GCSE Students
We are delighted to report that over 80% of all entries were awarded A*/A grade or the numerical equivalent, with 95% at a B grade or above!
Mr Parker, Head, noted that he is ‘enormously proud of our Fifth Year students this year, as well as the Fourth Year pupils who were entered for their Religious Studies GCSE this summer. This cohort has faced unprecedented challenges and difficulties, and have had to endure so much uncertainty as policy makers have made up, and then changed their minds about the process for awarding GCSE results. At King Edward’s, our students all sat rigorous subject assessments under exam conditions, to fulfil the strict guidance set out by the exam boards. That they have thrived in these examinations is testament to their dedication and hard work. The School has seen over 80% of all entries awarded at A*/A grade or the numerical equivalent, with 95% at a B grade or above: this speaks volumes about the character of the year group and the professionalism of their teachers. Well done to them all!’
