An Indian summer
The senior cricket squad players took part in a two-week tour to India over the summer. Travelling from Delhi and Agra to Jaipur, the team played matches against local clubs and schools, often in very humid and sometimes wet conditions, combining their sporting fixtures with traditional tourist excursions. They also found time to visit Deepalaya – a charitable organisation that supports the homeless and disadvantaged. The trip provided a unique opportunity to experience the culture and architecture of just a small part of this truly amazing country as well as helping the players to improve their skills on the pitch.
