KES hosts girls’ cricket tournament

This year at KES, cricket becomes the principal summer sport for girls and, on Wednesday, the School hosted a girls’ U13 cricket tournament at Wellington.  Teams from ten local prep schools took part in a fun, friendly and competitive day of sport.  A further highlight of the day was the coaching workshop run by the highest run-scorer in women’s Twenty/Twenty Internationals, Susie Bates, who inspired the girls with her enthusiasm and skills training.  The KES U12 team won the Shield competition with the Cup going to Twyford School and West Hill Park taking the Plate.
