A Christmas trip to Aachen

Forty Second and Third Year pupils, along with Mr Jepson, Mrs Hall, Mr Lawson and Miss Pastor, enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the Christmas market in Aachen this weekend.  They travelled out on Friday, settling into the beautiful Aachen youth hostel with a film, then woke up bright and early on Saturday for a walk into town.  After a competition, to find out as many facts as possible about Aachen, everyone enjoyed shopping, eating and drinking at the Christmas market, before visiting the Lindt chocolate outlet and returning to the hostel for some well-deserved relaxation time.  In the evening they visited the market again to see it lit up in all its glory.  On Sunday, they travelled back via the Dreiländerpunkt, where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet, and Bruges, before arriving back at KES tired but satisfied!
