Westminster Chamber Orchestra visit KES
KES string players spent the day working alongside the Westminster Chamber Orchestra in a series of workshops, culminating in a memorable and stunning evening concert. The pupils had a true experience of the life of a professional musician, rehearsing energetic works by Holst and Rawsthorne alongside reflective and evoking programme music from Sibelius.
The project, just three weeks into the start of a new school year, represents the exacting standards and passionate commitment of our KES musicians. The players’ talent shone through the day with opportunities for fun and musical discussion. Pupils also had time to enjoy a Mozart piano concerto with soloist Cordelia Williams.
