Dignioras and dignissimas awarded

Congratulations to the following students who have received dignioras and dignissimas.

Elsa Buerk is awarded a digniora for Geography. Mr Gilbert comments, “Elsa produced an outstanding piece of work about the School’s local environment. I have  rarely seen such sophisticated levels of analysis and research in a First Year investigation.”

Maya Smale receives a dignissima for Physics.  Dr Thomas notes, “Maya produced a highly detailed piece of research into the potential of using of magnetic fields to repel sharks from beaches. She designed a prototype piece of apparatus and collaborated with researchers from the University of East Anglia to evaluate her design. This was a superb piece of work and Maya is also awarded a Gold Crest Award.”

Matthew Titcombe and Henry Saia have earned dignissimas for English Literature.   Mrs Hardwick remarks, “Both students have produced sustained high quality work throughout the two years of their A Level course with many outstanding essays. They have always been within the top band and usually at maximum marks.”
