Space Camp

In February, a group of twenty-four Third Year students and four members of staff left King Edward’s for the Euro Space Centre in Belgium. During their 2 day stay, the group took part in various activities and training sessions including space mission control, which involved the launching and landing of a space shuttle, and exercises on the different simulators used for astronaut training.  They also took part in a micro rocket building and launch workshop and attended presentations on topics such as “living and working in space” and “weightlessness and its effects”.
