This week saw the deadline for the submission of UCAS applications for entry in 2018. Applicants for places at Oxbridge have an earlier deadline and have already been informed whether they have been successful in their application. This year congratulations are due to twelve KES students who have been offered places. Honours were split evenly this year with six successful applicants to both Oxford and Cambridge.
The application process is tough, with personal statements, admissions tests and interviews all having to be negotiated, and an element of luck on the day always helps. Inevitably we also had a number of excellent candidates who were disappointed, as well as those for whom hard work and a serving of good fortune resulted in offers. Offers have been made for a range of courses including architecture, engineering, biological sciences, PPE and history.
