Geographers visit London
On Wednesday 6th December, the entire Third Year went on a Geography trip to London to visit the Natural History and Science Museums. Whilst at the museums, the students enjoyed a show, ‘Rocks the House’ which involved hands on experiences to learn about plate tectonics. The earthquakes and volcanoes section of the museum was also useful with the students particularly enjoying the earthquake simulator. In the Science Museum, the group visited relevant areas such as Atmosphere, Energy, Information Age and Engineer Your Future in order to learn more about climate change, sustainability and changes through time. It was a hugely successful trip and a wide variety of learning took place throughout the course of the day.
