Dignioras and Dignissimas awarded
Congratulations to Ibrahim Hayat and Naomi Lee who have been awarded Dignissimas for Chemistry.
Miss Downing notes: “Ibrahim and Naomi produced a fascinating work on the problems that resulted from the tragic use of thalidomide for pregnant women. They went into impressive detail and made some very interesting points going well beyond the scope of A Level and showing an unusually mature level of understanding.”
First Year student Isabel Smith has received a Digniora for History. She has produced an impressive model of King Alfred’s Jewel currently exhibited in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. This required considerable skill and was something she did out of natural curiosity. It can be seen in the Crush Hall cabinet.
