The formal Careers Guidance Programme will begin in the Summer Term of the 4th Year.
During the academic year every group base will be given an introduction to the Guidance Centre and its resources. This Induction programme will include guidance on using the E-CLIPS library and an introduction to the parametric tests available on computer.
During the 4th year all students are invited to take part in a formal programme of psychometric testing using the well-established Morrisby test. Further psychometric testing is carried out in-house using licensed intranet systems.
During the 5th year all students are interviewed individually by the careers co-ordinator and encouraged to discuss their post 16 plans.
5th year students and their parents are invited to an information evening in the Autumn term at which they can discuss their likely course of study with Heads of Academic Departments.
Information about internal and external Careers events will be published via the school's "Blue sheet" and through memos to tutors.
