Rugby at King Edward VI School is one of the most popular Autumn sports and is enjoyed by hundreds of our students during this time of year. Our saturday and mid-week fixtures boast some of the more established rugby playing Schools and we regularly create opportunities for as many players as possible to represent King Edward VI School.
We are conistent competitiors at both County and Regional levels and have been regular entrants at Under 15 and Under 18 Daily Mail Cup tournaments.
Each September King Edward VI School hold the South Coast Kings Rugby Tournament where Schools embark in Under 15 and Under 18 competitions. This established tournament attracts some of the strongest Schools and Colleges from all over the UK.
King Edward VI School run 11 rugby teams: 1st XV, 2nd XV, Under 16's, Under 15 A & B teams, Under 14 A & B teams, Under 13 A & B teams and Under 12 A & B teams. This means that on many occaisions during the rugby term we boast over 220 players involved in our Saturday Block fixtures.
