Curriculum Trips

During this year both year groups will go on curriculum trips.  1st years will visit the Intech centre near Winchester and take in a planetarium show in the Summer term.

The 2nd years will have a curriculum trip to the Science Museum in London in the Summer term.

Junior Science Club

Junior science club takes place regularly on Thursday lunchtimes during the Autumn and Spring terms, and takes a break during the Summer term when the weather improves and examinations loom close.

Science club is open to all first and second years and gives an opportunity for students to do experiments that don't normally fit within the junior sicence syllabus.

Typical experiments are:

  • Explosions
  • Air pressure and eggs
  • Fairy liquid boats
  • Rocket balloons
  • Leaf litter
  • Heart disection
  • Imploding cans
  • Mirror eggs
  • Green eggs
  • Periscopes
  • Bouncing custard balls
  • Borax snowflakes

        And the list goes on....

Students need not sign up, just come along!

Whilst regular attendence is preferred it is not essential, we always welcome back old friends!
