The History Club is run by Mrs Potter and is aimed at interested and enthusiastic historians in years one to five. The aim of the club is to encourage pupils to take their interest in the study of the past further than their classroom-based courses allow through the use of debates, quizzes, investigations and film showings. In addition, from January 2012 the club members were involved in the department's "Titanic 1912-2012" project. This saw the pupils investigating the story of RMS Titanic, with a particular emphasis on the Southampton connection; this culminated with the group presenting their findings to a school assembly at the date closest to the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the famous ship.
All pupils from the first five years of the school are welcome to attend History club meetings which take place on Tuesdays from 1.00-1.30 in H18.
