King Edward VI School is a selective Independent Co-educational Day School of about 970 boys and girls aged 11-18 years. The normal points for admission are at 11+ (Year 7) with about 130 places available, 13+ (Year 9) where approximately 25 additional places are offered and in the Sixth Form. Candidates for 11+ and 13+ are interviewed during the first three weeks of January prior to the Admissions Examination. A confidential report will be requested from the Headteacher of the candidate's current school. Candidates for 16+ are interviewed by senior staff and subject specialists during the second half of the Spring Term.
